A recap of the ACTRIS Signature Workshop on scalable CAR-T cell manufacturing using the Lonza Cocoon® Platform, where participants explored automated, end-to-end cell therapy workflows through theory and hands-on demos.
A big thank you to all participants who joined us for the ACTRIS Signature Workshop Series 2025 session on Scalable Rapid Manufacturing of CAR T Cells in the Cocoon® Platform jointly organised with Lonza (opens in new tab) last week.
Participants gained insights into how the Lonza Cocoon® Platform supports rapid, scalable, and automated manufacturing through a functionally closed, single-use system, and had the opportunity to deepen their understanding through a combination of theory and hands-on practical demonstrations.
From cell enrichment and activation to transduction, sampling, and harvest, participants explored the end-to-end workflow and discussed how automation can drive efficiency and consistency in cell therapy production. It was an engaging session with many thoughtful questions raised — and we’re glad the trainers were able to address them comprehensively.
