Profile

Dr Lam Meng Chon assumed the role of Director, Hospital Services (HS) in the Ministry of Health (MOH) on 1 November 2025. The division oversees clinical services and policies, including capacity planning and management, adoption of innovative technologies in hospitals.

Prior to his current role, he was the Director, Manpower Standards & Development (MS&D) at MOH, where he oversaw medical workforce transformation, training and development and professional standards. He was previously the Medical Director, Assurance, Care and Engagement (ACE) Group at the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and have also rotated through Ageing Planning Office, Hospital Services, Healthcare Regulation and Office of the Director of Medical Services within MOH.

Dr Lam is a Public Health Specialist and a practising Family Physician. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore.
